Read And Be Lazy
    Chapter Index

Before getting out of the car, Wen Sinian adjusted its clothes again, using his jacket to cover its bottom.

Finally, he lightly patted its tail and reminded it, “Hide it. Don’t let anyone see.”

Yanyan was extremely careful, almost checking his bottom every few steps, terrified that his tail would tear through his pants and pop out.

If someone accidentally discovered that it was actually a little rabbit in disguise and not a human, would it be forced to separate from its master?

Yanyan didn’t dare think further. It followed closely behind Wen Sinian, step by step.

Wen Sinian pulled a suitcase with one hand and drew Yanyan into his arms with the other, half-carrying it as they walked.

Yanyan found everything novel and kept looking around. “So many people… so many people…”

It burrowed deeper into Wen Sinian’s arms.

It had never been to a place like this before, and the noisy, unfamiliar surroundings made it a little uneasy.

Wen Sinian held it even tighter, whispering reassurance in its ear, “It’s okay. Just stay with me. Don’t be afraid.”

To make Yanyan feel more at ease, Wen Sinian even took it into a gift shop and bought a small lop-eared rabbit plushie for it to hold.

Yanyan’s attention was indeed drawn to the plush rabbit in its arms, which looked almost like itself. It cherished the plushie, rubbing against it affectionately.

The two of them boarded the plane smoothly and arrived in the competition city.

The team had already checked into the hotel. To make it easier to take care of the little rabbit, Wen Sinian booked a separate room.

During the day, the little rabbit and the plushie stayed in the room to play. In the evening, Wen Sinian returned to change its clothes, give it a bath, feed it, and then hold it as they slept.

He still treated it like a little rabbit that couldn’t take care of itself, but Yanyan felt it was already a qualified human and could take care of its master in return.

The competition was halfway through, and the outcome was already clear. The remaining few days were just for fixing some software bugs and minor details.

On the fourth day, Wen Sinian returned early. The little rabbit was still fast asleep on the bed, its four legs sprawled out, its head resting on the plushie’s belly, lost in some sweet dream.

There was still some time before it transformed into a human. Wen Sinian didn’t wake it and went into the bathroom to take a shower first.

When he came out, he heard a knock on the door. Several team members had brought in bags of food, shouting that they couldn’t stand the local cuisine anymore and insisted on having hot pot that night.

Wen Sinian’s room was spacious, and the group crowded into the living room, making a racket. The noise woke the little rabbit in the bedroom. It kicked its short legs and rolled around on the bed, nearly falling off.

Wen Sinian quickly reached out to catch it, rubbing its head. “Did you wake up confused?”

The little rabbit hadn’t expected him to return so early. Hearing voices outside, it sensed it was about to transform and grew anxious, squirming restlessly in his palm.

Wen Sinian patted its raised bottom, reassuring it, “It’s okay. They won’t come in. You can transform here.”

    Really?

The little rabbit tried to hold back, pushing at Wen Sinian’s fingers, signaling for him to leave quickly.

What if someone outside accidentally barged in?

Seeing it push him away so urgently, Wen Sinian softly asked, “Can you stay here alone? Do you not need me with you?”

The little rabbit pushed him even harder.

Wen Sinian chuckled, placed it back on the bed, and left, locking the door from the outside to ensure no one would accidentally intrude.

Zheng Yao and the others had already set up the hot pot and started eating, calling for Wen Sinian to join them quickly.

They had indeed worked hard and deserved to relax a bit.

Wen Sinian didn’t stop them and ate a little with them. Soon after, he excused himself, saying he was a bit tired and wanted to rest in his room.

Zheng Yao was puzzled. “Wen-Ge, you’ve only eaten a few bites and you’re full? And why is your room door always locked? It’s like you’re hiding some treasure in there.”

Wen Sinian: “I don’t like having smells in my bedroom.”

Zheng Yao: “This is a smell? This is a fragrance! It smells so good. I’m going to move the hot pot to my room tonight and sleep with the scent.”

“Don’t even think about it. We’ll finish all the meat while you’re here. Don’t leave him any!”

“Hey, hey, hey, don’t be so mean! At least leave me two slices of lunch meat!”

Wen Sinian didn’t say anything more and went back to his room.

The little rabbit that had been lying on the bed was nowhere to be found. Wen Sinian searched everywhere—the bathroom, the closet, behind the curtains, and on the balcony—but couldn’t find it.

Finally, he heard a faint rustling from inside his suitcase. He opened it and found a soft, white figure nestled inside, having made a little nest for itself. Its small, three-petaled mouth was still chewing on his clothes.

He pulled out the clothes along with the little rabbit and checked its legs.

The little rabbit struggled in vain, and the clothes in its mouth were also taken away by Wen Sinian.

It was restless, flailing about in his hand.

Wen Sinian was very familiar with its reactions.

    It was in heat.

But it was already nighttime. Why hadn’t it transformed into a human yet?

    ***

The little rabbit didn’t know what was going on either. It hadn’t transformed into a human for three nights in a row and almost thought it had lost this ability.

Wen Sinian was very worried. Every night, he rubbed its ears and tail, but apart from not being able to transform into a human, the little rabbit seemed perfectly normal.

Just like an ordinary little lop-eared rabbit.

The little rabbit thought it might have endured too much and strained itself.

But even if it couldn’t transform into a human, its master still loved it dearly.

Every night, its master came back early to be with it, not only grooming its fur and feeding it but also playing with it. At night, he let it sleep on top of him. Even if it refused to sleep and hopped around on him, its master wouldn’t scold it. He would still kiss its rabbit head.

The little rabbit quickly stopped feeling sad. After all, it wasn’t originally human. If it couldn’t transform, then so be it, as long as its master loved it forever like this.

Soon, it was the last day of the competition. The rest of the team was taking the plane back that day, but Wen Sinian decided to stay a few more days.

Before leaving, the group came to say goodbye to Wen Sinian and planned to have a meal together in his room.

They were confident about winning the competition and couldn’t help but celebrate a little early.

Unfortunately, they came at the wrong time. Wen Sinian was in the bathroom giving the little rabbit a bath. He had just opened the door for them and was about to go back to fish the little thing out of the tub.

The little rabbit had a tiny shower cap on its head, its long ears tucked inside. Its body was placed in a glass container, floating on the water’s surface with its four legs stretched out, waiting to be attended to.

It wasn’t done playing yet and refused to come out. Several times, it jumped back into the water from Wen Sinian’s hand and continued to float in the glass dish.

Wen Sinian had no choice but to cover it with a small towel and leave.

He had barely exchanged a few words with the group outside when they heard an unmistakable splash from inside the bedroom, as if something had fallen into the water with a plop.

“What was that noise? Wen-Ge, is there really someone in your room?”

“No way, it sounded like the showerhead fell.”

“What showerhead? That big noise was probably someone falling into the bathtub.”

    “…”

Before they could finish their speculations, Wen Sinian’s expression suddenly changed.

“The celebration can wait until we get back to the country. You all go first. Don’t miss your flight.”

With that, he ushered them out and closed the door.

The group stood in the hallway, exchanging bewildered glances.

Wait, their flight wasn’t for another six hours.

Wen Sinian rushed back into the bathroom, and as soon as he pulled the door open, a cloud of steam hit him in the face.

There was indeed a figure in the bathtub. A snowy-white, slender leg hung over the edge, limp and dangling. Its upper body was sprawled against the side of the tub, its lashes damp, eyes half-closed, lips weakly parting as it exhaled softly.

It had just used all its strength to transform into a human, and now it was exhausted, still catching its breath.

Before it could react, it heard footsteps approaching and stopping at the edge of the bathtub.

It lifted its face with some effort and saw the towering figure looming over it. A hand gently pinched its cheek, and a hot, fervent kiss pressed down.

The dominant lips and tongue invaded deeply, filled with endless longing, like someone who had been parched to the extreme in a desert, desperately seeking every drop of moisture in an oasis.

Wen Sinian hadn’t realized how strong his possessiveness could be. Just a few days apart, and he was already on the verge of losing control.

Although he had been trying to maintain a calm facade, deep down, he had been trapped in a terrifying panic.

What if he really couldn’t see it again?

    The mere thought was unbearable.

So he kissed deeper, as deep as possible, wanting to shorten the distance between them to nothing.

Until they could completely merge into one, until it would never leave his side again.

Wen Sinian thought this, and he did just that.

He took off his own clothes and stepped into the bathtub.

He pulled the soft, slippery body even closer into his arms, kissing its human-like, fair earlobe, and noticed that this time, even its tail was gone.

But without that fluffy sensation, it always felt like something was missing, not quite satisfying.

Wen Sinian rubbed it, his breath hot against its neck as he asked, “Why didn’t you transform these past few days?”

The little rabbit’s cheeks were flushed, partly from the steam, partly from something else.

It stammered, “Maybe… I held back too much…”

    “Why can you now?”

    The little rabbit pitifully said, “Because… I missed you… If I don’t turn into a human, I can’t hug you…”

Wen Sinian kissed its lips. “How can you be so sweet?”

It had learned human sweet talk.

It had learned to be naughty.

    But it was very pleasing.

The water in the tub grew increasingly turbulent.

The little rabbit gradually realized that this time was different from usual. It tried to shrink back, but its waist was firmly held in place.

Wen Sinian asked it, “Where are your ears and tail?”

The little rabbit obediently replied, “This time, I can retract them.”

Wen Sinian touched the spot where its tail should have been. “Can you make them come out?”

The little rabbit turned its head to look at him. “Didn’t you tell me to retract them…”

“Retract them in front of others, but not in front of your husband,” Wen Sinian softly kissed the tip of its ear. “Bring them out for your husband to play with, okay?”

The little rabbit, already in heat, couldn’t resist the temptation. Soon, its ears and tail trembled back into existence.

    It was thoroughly played with.

Only then did the little rabbit realize how humans of the same sex interacted.

It felt as if it had melted entirely into the hot water of the bathtub.

The bathroom floor was a mess, water spreading all the way to the door, pooling into a small, sticky, warm, and glistening puddle.

Finally emerging from the bathroom, the little rabbit was carried to the bed.

Its hair was still damp, its vision blurry. Suddenly, it felt as if it was being held upside down by its waist.

Then, its rabbit tail was bitten and devoured.
