Read And Be Lazy
    Chapter Index

Wen Sinian’s gaze lingered on the faint marks the cuff left on her leg, but he obediently replied, “Yes.”

But in his mind, he thought: a juicy little cherry.

Xu Yan wasn’t used to wearing a skirt. He knelt beside Wen Sinian, leaning in close. When Wen Sinian tried to move, Xu Yan immediately pulled away.

Seeing that Wen Sinian couldn’t reach him, Xu Yan felt a strange satisfaction.

Emboldened by the alcohol, his playful side emerged.

He poked Wen Sinian, bringing his face close. His warm breath brushed against Wen Sinian’s skin as he tilted his head up. “I’m your master. You’re my little dog, got it?”

Wen Sinian inhaled the sweet scent of him, swallowing hard. “Got it.”

Xu Yan beamed. “Do you think I’m pretty?”

    Wen Sinian: “Pretty.”

“Prettier than the skirt, or is the skirt prettier?”

    “You.”

Xu Yan poked him again, hearing his suppressed groan. He warned, “Little dogs don’t lie to their masters.”

“Lying… you—” Wen Sinian’s eyes darkened, switching his address. “Master is the prettiest.”

Xu Yan was satisfied. He swayed his slightly dizzy head and turned to show off the ties on his back.

“This is hard to tie. I can’t do it alone. Don’t buy this style again.”

Wen Sinian: “I’ll help you tie it.”

Xu Yan pointed at Wen Sinian’s bound hands and narrowed his eyes playfully. “But you can’t move.”

Wen Sinian chuckled. “Is that so?”

Xu Yan nodded, recalling how he had been “bullied” before. This time, he was determined to “get revenge” all at once.

He hitched up his skirt and suddenly straddled Wen Sinian, sitting on top of him. Feeling Wen Sinian’s body tense, Xu Yan was pleased. He leaned in, patting Wen Sinian’s cheek just as Wen Sinian used to do to him, and planted a quick kiss on the corner of his lips.

The alcohol gave him courage, and though he hadn’t drunk much, it was enough to make him fearless.

He tugged at the belt binding Wen Sinian’s wrists. “You used to bully me. Today, I’m going to bully you.”

Wen Sinian shifted his legs slightly, pressing against Xu Yan’s lower back. “How do you want to bully me?”

Xu Yan thought hard but realized he didn’t actually know how to bully someone. Wen Sinian’s voice was low and hoarse as he took the initiative. “Let me guide you, okay?”

Xu Yan nodded. “Okay, tell me.”

Wen Sinian gave him careful instructions. “Lift the skirt a little higher.”

    “And then?”

Wen Sinian issued a few more commands, and Xu Yan followed each one.

It was his first time experiencing this novel sensation, his senses heightened, yet he was the one in control.

But he tired quickly. Seeing Wen Sinian’s brows furrowed in restraint, his expression pained, Xu Yan felt strangely comfortable.

    Bullying was actually quite fun.

He only undid one of Wen Sinian’s hands. “The other one stays tied. I’ll untie you before we leave tomorrow morning.”

With that, he stepped off the bed, his legs still trembling.

He glanced at the sheets where he had just been sitting and quickly pulled a blanket over the mess. Rubbing his waist, he turned and walked barefoot toward the bathroom.

The bath he had just taken felt wasted. He worried about bugs in the bathroom again, but even if there were, Wen Sinian wouldn’t be able to come to his rescue this time. Xu Yan felt a pang of distress.

Just as he reached the bathroom door, he heard a metallic clink behind him. He turned to see the handcuffs, which should have been secured to the headboard, were gone.

In the next instant, he was lifted effortlessly and tossed onto the soft mattress.

Xu Yan’s head spun as he struggled to sit up, but his hands were pressed firmly above him.

Click. The silver handcuffs were now on his wrists.

The towering figure loomed over him, a smile playing on his lips as he called him softly, “Master.”

Xu Yan was stunned, his body trembling uncontrollably.

    Wen Sinian asked, “Done playing?”

Xu Yan kicked his legs, but the leg cuff was fastened to the belt tied to the headboard.

“If you’re done playing,” Wen Sinian said slowly, “it’s my turn now.”

    ***

They were supposed to leave for Heart Lake Park at 10 a.m. the next day, but even Grandma was up, and Wen Sinian and Xu Yan still hadn’t come downstairs.

Wen Sinian made a phone call, saying Xu Yan wasn’t feeling well, and they agreed to meet up again on the return trip in the afternoon.

Shen Nanli felt a familiar sense of déjà vu, as if she had been transported back to their time in Port City.

After the call ended, Xu Yan was still curled up in Wen Sinian’s arms, half-asleep.

The other bed was a mess, the skirt torn to pieces, wrapped around the dirty lingerie, and tossed into the trash.

Xu Yan slept until the afternoon. Wen Sinian kissed his cheek, pulled him out of the blankets, and dressed him in the everyday clothes he had brought. He carried Xu Yan to the bathroom to freshen up.

Xu Yan, like a well-behaved doll, opened his eyes slightly to glance at Wen Sinian before closing them tightly again.

After Wen Sinian had taken care of him, he whispered in Xu Yan’s ear, “Master.”

Xu Yan’s eyes flew open reflexively, his legs trembling slightly.

He had called out that word so many times last night, but each time had only made him whimper in distress.

“Don’t call me that…” His voice was hoarse.

Wen Sinian wiped the water from Xu Yan’s face, teasing him mischievously. “If I can’t call you Master, what should I call you? Aren’t I your little dog?”

Xu Yan struggled to lift his arm, covering Wen Sinian’s mouth, his face flushed with embarrassment. “You’re not allowed to say that…”

Wen Sinian rubbed Xu Yan’s lips, feigning understanding. “Oh, so Masters don’t drool, but little dogs do, right?”

Xu Yan’s mind flashed back to last night—he really had been drooling, unable to control himself.

And he had ridden Wen Sinian, but… literally.

    Xu Yan pouted, looking aggrieved.

He would never take the initiative to “bully” again, especially not Wen Sinian.

The consequences were always worse for him.

    ***

By the agreed-upon time, they met up with the others to return home.

Xu Yan was bundled up tightly, the blush on his cheeks never fading, and his hoarse voice made him look genuinely ill.

No one knew about the numerous marks hidden beneath his clothes.

He hugged his arms, slouching in the passenger seat, too exhausted to move.

Wen Sinian, worried he might be uncomfortable sitting directly, took a soft pillow from the back seat and placed it behind him, giving him a stern look.

After returning home, the others came to check on him, but Xu Yan was too tired, yawning as he went straight to his room to lie down.

No one disturbed him, except Wen Sinian.

When Wen Sinian entered the room, he saw Xu Yan curled up under the blankets again, not even his head visible.

He reached under the blanket, feeling Xu Yan’s forehead. Confirming he had a fever, Wen Sinian called his name softly and brought a bowl of hot porridge to feed him.

Xu Yan barely ate all day, taking a sip before losing interest and tilting his head to sleep.

Wen Sinian coaxed him into drinking a little more, helped him rinse his mouth, and then let him go back to sleep.

He took off Xu Yan’s clothes, grabbed some ointment, and climbed into bed, pulling Xu Yan into his arms to keep him warm.

It had been too long since they’d done this, and Xu Yan had been so tempting.

Wen Sinian had originally just wanted to see him try on the clothes, but plans had changed.

While Xu Yan was still asleep, Wen Sinian unscrewed the cap of the ointment.

Xu Yan slept soundly, his lips slightly parted, obediently nestled in Wen Sinian’s arms, his limbs instinctively seeking warmth.

Wen Sinian let him stay like that, gazing at his sleeping face for a moment before lowering his head to gently capture Xu Yan’s soft lips in a slow, lingering kiss.

Xu Yan’s breathing hitched, his lashes growing damp as he began to push weakly against Wen Sinian’s chest.

“Be good, don’t move,” Wen Sinian murmured.

He held Xu Yan close, their fingers intertwined, the cold glint of the ring catching the light.

“Don’t hurt yourself. I’m putting medicine on you.”
