Crossdress Ch52
by 707There were only two minutes left before the dormitory curfew when Xu Yan got out of the car.
He originally had something he wanted to ask, but didn’t get the chance to. Holding the small cake Wen Sinian had bought for him, he didn’t dare stay even a second longer. He ran back to the dormitory just as the lights went out.
Li Huaiche and Zhao Qingji hadn’t gone to bed yet. Xu Yan quickly unwrapped the little cake and started eating.
During dinner, Wen Sinian had noticed he hadn’t eaten much, so he’d specially gone out to get the cake for him.
Xu Yan went to the restroom to brush his teeth again. After closing the door, he turned on his flashlight and lifted the hem of his shirt to check.
A patch of red covered his fair skin, especially around the chest area. The rubbing of his pajamas created a strange sensation.
Xu Yan felt too embarrassed to keep looking. He left the bathroom with his phone and quietly climbed into bed.
Wen Sinian had said he was moving back into the dorm, and a few days later, he really showed up at the door with a suitcase.
Li Huaiche was stunned. He’d thought they wouldn’t be living under the same roof until graduation at the earliest, he didn’t expect Wen Sinian to actually move back in.
Only Xu Yan knew the real reason.
But during the day, Xu Yan had class and wasn’t in the dorm, so he couldn’t help Wen Sinian unpack.
After class, he was in a bit of a hurry and pulled Shen Nanli along as they left the classroom quickly.
Shen Nanli asked, “You’re not going to the library today?”
Xu Yan replied, “Not today. I’m heading straight back.”
“You have something going on?”
“Yeah,” Xu Yan glanced at the messages on his phone, “a little something.”
Shen Nanli was truly curious. Recently, Xu Yan had been going to the library religiously after class. With finals approaching and many courses wrapping up at the same time, there was a lot to review. He’d been counting on Xu Yan to motivate him to study too.
After they returned to the dorm building, Shen Nanli followed Xu Yan into room 318 and was stunned to see who was inside. Then, with tact, he quietly left and closed the door behind him.
No wonder Xu Yan had been in such a hurry, it was all for a date.
Wen Sinian helped Xu Yan take off his backpack. Since no one else was in the dorm, he pulled him onto his lap.
Xu Yan braced his hands on Wen Sinian’s chest and looked anxiously toward the door.
“They’ll be back soon.”
Li Huaiche and Zhao Qingji didn’t have class tonight and would probably return early.
Wen Sinian held his waist and kissed him, murmuring, “Just for a little bit.”
Moving back meant benefits like this, he could see him often, hug him often, kiss him often.
Of course, the downside was also obvious. After just a short kiss, Xu Yan already felt uncomfortable.
He looked up, his eyes misty, cheeks flushed, looking dazed.
“Are you uncomfortable again?”
Wen Sinian seemed to experience this discomfort frequently, though Xu Yan wasn’t sure whether it was normal or not.
Wen Sinian held him tightly, drinking in the soft warmth of his mouth.
“Yeah,” his voice was hoarse and unapologetic.
Xu Yan’s lips were red and slightly swollen. He shifted a little on Wen Sinian’s lap, trying to touch the ground with his toes to relieve some of the weight. The area between his thighs was still hot, and he looked at Wen Sinian with that innocent, confused expression.
“Should I move a bit away? Will that help?”
Wen Sinian chuckled, pulling him back into his arms, making him lie against his chest, firmly seated on his lap.
“This is better.”
Lowering his head, he wanted to kiss him again.
Xu Yan quickly turned his face away and asked casually, “My computer seems to have been upgraded to a really expensive configuration. Did Senior Zheng Yao make a mistake when he was fixing it?”
Wen Sinian, failing to kiss his lips, kissed his soft cheek instead, rubbing gently in affection.
“No, I told him to change it.”
Xu Yan looked at him curiously, “Why? You didn’t even know who I was at the time, we weren’t even that close.”
Wen Sinian looked into his eyes, “You thought we weren’t close?”
Xu Yan didn’t think he said anything wrong. He nodded, even adding honestly:
“At first, I thought you were really scary… I was kind of afraid of you.”
Wen Sinian kissed his lips. “And now?”
Xu Yan looked at him for a moment. “You don’t seem that scary anymore.”
In fact, he had always been very kind to him, even before Xu Yan realized it.
Wen Sinian didn’t think Xu Yan could have figured out much on his own. He explained lightly, “Back then, you helped me fix the lighter. I knew your budget was tight, so I just had your computer upgraded while I was at it. I didn’t think it was a big deal.”
Xu Yan was still surprised. “If it had been someone else, would you have done the same?”
Would he have upgraded someone else’s computer, brought them cake, taken them to the hospital and stayed up all night with them when they were sick?
Xu Yan stared quietly at Wen Sinian, waiting for his answer.
Wen Sinian, softened by his gaze, gently brushed his cheek with his thumb.
“No. If it were someone else, I wouldn’t have done any of that.”
All of my patience and gentleness, even the selfish shadows in my heart, they were only ever meant for you, baby.
Seeing that Xu Yan still wanted to say something, Wen Sinian didn’t give him the chance. He pinched his chin and kissed him deeply, cutting off his breath.
The kiss hadn’t even deepened yet when Xu Yan’s phone suddenly rang.
Xu Yan pushed against Wen Sinian’s chest twice and turned his head slightly, panting. “It’s… my phone…”
Wen Sinian pulled his face back to kiss him again, not allowing any distractions.
But Xu Yan insisted on answering. He was afraid it might be his grandmother or the hospital calling, so he kicked his legs and managed to get down from Wen Sinian’s lap.
Already irritated from the interruption, Wen Sinian’s expression darkened further when he heard Xu Yan answer the call with, “Zhuang Sheng-Ge.”
Wen Sinian narrowed his eyes dangerously, staring directly at him.
Under that intense gaze, Xu Yan started fumbling with his words. Knowing Wen Sinian and Zhuang Sheng didn’t get along, he turned his back on purpose while talking.
“You’re back from your business trip?”
“Wow, you got promoted? That’s amazing, congratulations!”
“Dinner? Tonight?”
Xu Yan glanced back and saw Wen Sinian raising his eyebrows slightly, clearly hesitant.
The person on the other end must’ve said something else, because Xu Yan quickly responded, “No, no, you don’t need to pick me up… Just send me the address, I’ll come by myself.”
After he hung up, seeing that Wen Sinian hadn’t said a word, Xu Yan took the initiative to walk over, straddled his lap, and gently placed his hands around Wen Sinian’s neck.
“Zhuang-Ge got promoted and wanted to celebrate with someone. He doesn’t have many friends in Beishi, so I agreed.”
Wen Sinian leaned against the back of the chair, one hand supporting Xu Yan’s waist to keep him steady, while the other hand tightened on Xu Yan’s thigh.
Xu Yan asked, “Are you mad?”
“What do you think?”
Xu Yan pursed his lips and thought for a moment. “How about… you come with me?”
Wen Sinian’s expression eased slightly, but just a bit.
Xu Yan seemed to have grasped the trick, lightly swayed his hips and then nestled softly into Wen Sinian’s chest, leaning in to kiss his chin.
“Come with me, please? I don’t want to go alone. You can drive me there, stay the whole time, and bring me back. I’ll let Zhuang-Ge know, okay?”
Wen Sinian couldn’t resist him acting all sweet and clingy in his arms. In the end, he naturally agreed without conditions.
They left the dorm together and got in the car.
On the way, Xu Yan told Wen Sinian a bit about the time he spent with Zhuang Sheng back in Wuzhen.
It really wasn’t anything special.
They just happened to be neighbors. Zhuang Sheng happened to be good at studying and tutored Xu Yan back when he was in elementary school.
Now Zhuang Sheng just happened to be transferred to Beishi, happened to still be single, happened to look decent, and happened to like Xu Yan.
Only Xu Yan really thought of him as a friend. If he had gone alone tonight, who knows what might’ve happened.
As they neared the restaurant, Wen Sinian’s expression grew darker. When they got out of the car and entered the restaurant, he followed behind Xu Yan with a cold face.
Zhuang Sheng had been told that Wen Sinian would be coming. Although he wasn’t thrilled, Xu Yan had brought it up, and since he himself had attended their last gathering, he couldn’t object.
When Xu Yan and Wen Sinian entered the private room one after the other, Zhuang Sheng’s expression shifted slightly.
He couldn’t quite say why, but he felt something had changed in the atmosphere between them.
Something was different.
“Yanyan, come sit. I’ve already ordered, thought you two must be hungry, this way we can eat as soon as you arrive.”
Xu Yan moved to sit next to Zhuang Sheng, but before he could sit down, Wen Sinian reached out, wrapped an arm around his waist, and pulled him farther away.
Then he sat between the two of them.
Zhuang Sheng’s expression stiffened. Xu Yan quickly smiled to ease the awkwardness. “I’ll sit here. The AC over there is blowing too strong.”
“Alright, there aren’t any outsiders here. You don’t have to be so formal, just relax.”
After sitting down, Zhuang Sheng’s eyes remained on Xu Yan. He’d only been away on a business trip for half a month, but somehow Xu Yan looked even more stunning.
Bright eyes, red lips, gleaming teeth, he was captivating.
Xu Yan politely raised his juice. “Zhuang-Ge, I haven’t congratulated you yet. Getting promoted so young, you’re definitely going places.”
Wen Sinian found this kind of polite flattery hilarious. The corners of his mouth lifted as he lazily raised his own glass. “Congrats.”
Zhuang Sheng smiled. “Thank you. I’ll take that as a blessing.”
Then he deliberately asked Wen Sinian, “I heard you started your own studio? Must’ve cost a lot to get it off the ground. Did your family help out?”
“No,” Wen Sinian replied curtly. “Competition prize money.”
Winning first place in a major competition came with a million-dollar prize, US dollars. It was more than enough to launch a startup, and his team had won twice.
Trying to imply he relied on family? Too bad, he was practically estranged from them. He’d built everything himself over the past few years without any help from the Wen family.
“Studios must be busy, right? How’d you find time to join us tonight?” Zhuang Sheng smiled mildly. “I get why Yanyan’s here, we’re close. But we’ve only met twice. I didn’t expect you’d rearrange your schedule just to attend.”
Wen Sinian smirked, draping his arm lazily across the back of Xu Yan’s chair, the gesture unmistakably possessive.
“I had plans, but Yanyan wanted me to come. So I canceled them.”
Zhuang Sheng’s expression shifted. “Yanyan?”
He also called Xu Yan by his nickname, but Wen Sinian said it with such intimacy, as if they were closer than anyone else.
Xu Yan quickly swallowed his food and shot Wen Sinian a reproachful glance. They had agreed on the way not to reveal their relationship and just pretend to be friends. But after just a few words, he’d already blown their cover.
And as if that wasn’t enough, Wen Sinian even reached over to wipe a speck of sauce off Xu Yan’s lips with his finger, then gave his cheek a little pinch.
“Careful. You got it on your face.”
Xu Yan froze, staring at Zhuang Sheng, feeling like there was no point pretending anymore. Anyone not blind would’ve seen it.
Zhuang Sheng was stunned. “Yanyan, I remember last time you said you were seeing someone, you were texting them all through dinner. So now you and Wen Sinian…? You’ve already broken up with the last one?”
He was clearly upset. Had Xu Yan moved on so quickly? Had he completely misjudged Xu Yan, or was Wen Sinian just that skilled at stealing hearts?
Then Xu Yan felt a pinch on his thigh under the table. Yet Wen Sinian still wore an innocent expression.
He forced a smile toward Zhuang Sheng. “We didn’t break up…”
“You didn’t?”
“It was always him.”
Zhuang Sheng was dumbfounded. “You mean the person you were seeing all along… was him?!”
Xu Yan nodded obediently.
Zhuang Sheng paused, then asked seriously, “Aren’t you afraid your grandma will be disappointed if she finds out? You’re dating… a boyfriend. She’s from an older generation, do you really think she can accept it?”
Xu Yan replied instantly, “Don’t tell her yet, I haven’t figured out how to explain it.”
Even though Grandma had said she’d like anyone Xu Yan liked, she didn’t know that someone was a guy…
Zhuang Sheng said, “Alright, I won’t say anything. But Yanyan, this is your life, you need to think carefully.”
Hearing that, Wen Sinian’s gaze turned cold. He wrapped an arm around Xu Yan and patted his waist twice in a soothing gesture.
“I’ll think for him,” Wen Sinian said. “No need for others to worry.”
“I’m worried because I know him. You two haven’t known each other long. I’ve known him for years, can’t I ask a few questions?”
Wen Sinian scoffed. “You really think of yourself as his big brother?”
Zhuang Sheng’s face darkened. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Wen Sinian replied blandly, “Nothing.”
Zhuang Sheng thought his feelings for Xu Yan were obvious, but since he hadn’t confessed, Xu Yan didn’t know. So what was wrong with him still seeing himself as an older brother?
The tension between them was about to explode. Sensing it, Xu Yan quickly stood up and pulled Wen Sinian with him.
“I need to use the restroom. Come with me.”
Without caring about appearances, he grabbed Wen Sinian’s hand and dragged him out.
They entered the bathroom one after the other.
Xu Yan turned to Wen Sinian and said, “Wait here.”
But just as he headed for a stall, Wen Sinian grabbed his wrist, and shoved him straight into the last stall at the end.
