Read And Be Lazy
    Chapter Index

Xu Yan and Shen Nanli both gasped. “Wow, so pretty!”
The person in the photos looked nothing like Shang Jia. It was like a whole different person.
Shang Jia flipped her hair. “Aw, stop. My makeup skills are decent. With heavy makeup, I can basically give someone a new face. Don’t worry, Yanyan, leave your transformation to me. I’ll make you look like even your grandma wouldn’t recognize you.”
Though he still wasn’t fully convinced, Xu Yan couldn’t think of a better plan, so he agreed to try it.
That weekend, he took the day off from the café and went to Shang Jia’s little studio early in the morning.
Shang Jia had already prepared everything for a full transformation.
She gave him a long wavy wig like seaweed, with soft bangs that covered his forehead. Even with half his face still visible, he already looked stunning.
Then came the makeup: concealer, foundation, eye makeup, contouring, blush, highlighter…
By the end of the whole routine, Xu Yan was almost dozing off, until Shang Jia clapped her hands and said, “All done!”
She pulled him out of the chair, handed him a dress, and pushed him into the bathroom.
“I’ve had my eye on this dress for a while it’s perfect for you. Go put it on!”
Xu Yan unfolded the dress: a light green base decorated with delicate petals and butterflies, made of form-fitting silk underneath a layer of sheer green tulle. It had thin straps, butterfly-wing detailing across the chest, cutouts at the waist, and a long flowing hem that reached the ankles.
The length was perfect, so he put it on without hesitation.
When he came out, Shang Jia couldn’t help but curse. “, Damn, ”
Xu Yan’s slender frame filled out the cascading skirt perfectly. Only his pale, flawless ankles peeked out beneath the hem, delicate and fragile like flower branches.
Despite the heavy makeup, his face still looked pure and innocent, with an ethereal aura of green. He looked like something that had just wandered out of a dream.
Xu Yan blinked, and had to admit his senior’s makeup skills were incredible.
To reassure him further, Shang Jia called Shen Nanli and had Xu Yan answer the door in full disguise.
When the door opened, Shen Nanli saw a beautiful stranger and froze then immediately apologized and closed the door.
Xu Yan stood behind it, confused.
Moments later, Shen Nanli rang the bell again like crazy. When he came in and saw Xu Yan, he stammered, “Yan… Yanyan?!”
    Xu Yan said softly, “Nanli.”
Shen Nanli was utterly speechless. He’d never expected Xu Yan to look that convincing in makeup, when the door opened, he honestly thought he’d knocked on the wrong apartment.
If even his best friend didn’t recognize him, Xu Yan felt much more confident.
Following Shang Jia and Shen Nanli’s advice, he texted Year to request a meetup later today.
He purposely made it a last-minute invite. If Year declined, that’d be even better.
    But Year replied almost instantly.
    [Year]: Time and place?
    That easily?
    [Yanyan]: 3PM
    [Yanyan]: XX Cinema
    [Year]: Got it
[Year]: See you this afternoon, baby
The cinema was private. They could rent a screening room and project their own film.
Xu Yan was afraid of being recognized in the daylight, and the cinema was dark and private, perfect.
At 2:30PM, Xu Yan put on sunglasses, carried a dark green purse, and threw on a jacket before heading out.
It was his first time going out in public dressed as a girl, and he felt incredibly awkward. He wasn’t sure how to walk properly, and lots of people stared. He was so nervous, terrified he looked weird.
By the time he stood in front of the screening room, he felt like his heart was going to leap out of his throat.
He tried to calm down, but it didn’t help. He stood at the door, hesitant and indecisive, secretly wanting to back out.
    Maybe… maybe I shouldn’t do this…
After all, he hadn’t gone in yet. He could still turn around.
Continuing their online relationship wasn’t so bad. At least he wouldn’t have to face Wen Sinian alone right now.
With that thought, Xu Yan started to turn around and leave.

Just as Xu Yan took half a step back, a soft sound suddenly came from behind the tightly closed door. In the empty hallway, it sounded especially eerie and unsettling.

Xu Yan immediately held his breath, staring at the door like a wild beast might suddenly lunge out and devour him whole, bones and all.

Then came the sound of a metal door handle being turned from the inside.

    The door opened.

No lights were on inside the room, just as Xu Yan had arranged with year beforehand. Only a large display screen on the side wall emitted a dim, pale blue light, casting the entire room in a gloomy, eerie glow.

A shadowy figure stood at the door, his entire form cloaked in darkness. The only visible part was the hand resting on the doorknob, strong, veiny, full of suppressed tension.

Xu Yan’s heart skipped two beats. His instincts screamed: something’s not right.

But he had no chance to escape.

A hand reached out from inside, gently but firmly gripping his wrist. With one swift tug, his light frame was pulled into the room.

Then the door shut behind him. Locked.

Wen Sinian stepped forward just half a step and pressed him directly against the thin wooden door.

There wasn’t much force between them, just the soft brushing of their clothes.

The hem of the chiffon dress rustled against Wen Sinian’s pants, brushing across his fingers that hung by his side.

Wen Sinian had imagined Xu Yan might show up in a dress, but he hadn’t expected this level of commitment.

The tug earlier had loosened the waterfall-like wig slightly, letting strands fall across Xu Yan’s collarbone and chest. His soft bangs were also slightly lifted, exposing almost his entire delicate porcelain face.

With makeup on, his lashes looked even longer and thicker, casting butterfly-wing shadows on his delicate nose bridge. The rose-tinted eyeliner arched upward, as if dew had soaked rose petals, moist and shimmering, like teardrops trembling on the verge of falling onto his smooth, fair skin.

His lips were probably glossed with something sweet and shiny, like cherry jelly just bitten into.

Wen Sinian had seen countless photos of him in skirts, but this, this living, breathing version standing in front of him, looking like a fragile porcelain doll, was a first.

The dress hugged a slender, curvaceous figure. His fair neck featured a delicate emerald pendant that rose and fell with each breath.

Further down, the narrow waist was cinched tightly with boning, and the skirt flared out from the hips.

The light green gown draped all the way to the ankles, soft and flowing like a tender branch in a misty forest.

He was like a little forest fairy walking toward him, tilting his small face upward to look at him.

Without saying a word, he nearly stole Wen Sinian’s soul.

Backlit, and due to their significant height difference, Xu Yan couldn’t see Wen Sinian’s expression clearly.

But he could feel two blazing lines of heat pressing down on him from above, silent yet scorching.

Nervously, Xu Yan licked his lips and tasted the sweet lip gloss.

His wrist was still held. Fearing his voice might give him away, he deliberately softened his tone and complained, “Let go… you’re hurting me.”

A deep, restrained breath seemed to clench in Wen Sinian’s chest, surging several times before he forced it into a shallow release.

Instead of letting go, Wen Sinian leaned in even closer, pressing Xu Yan’s petite form further against the door. He bowed his head, inhaling deeply at the side of Xu Yan’s face, intoxicated and obsessed.

“Baby, you’re so beautiful,” came the low, husky voice. “You smell so good.”

Xu Yan felt his ears burning, his cheeks flaring uncontrollably.

He raised a soft hand to gently push against the firm chest in front of him.

Lifting his eyes, they sparkled under the dim light, veiled with a dewy gloss.

    “You’re too close… back up a bit.”

His voice was soft and gentle, not a complaint, but more like a kitten pawing and whining.

Wen Sinian felt an unbearable itch in his chest. The sweet scent on Xu Yan made his temples throb.

He was on the verge of losing control.

Taking a couple of deep breaths, he forcefully restrained himself and finally released Xu Yan’s wrist, stepping back slightly.

Xu Yan was finally freed. His small chest heaved rapidly as he reached up to fix his hair, which nearly covered his entire face.

Wen Sinian said nothing, simply watching him with lowered eyes.

They were still standing by the door, and the room, perhaps secretly heated, felt very warm.

Once Xu Yan was done fixing himself up, Wen Sinian asked considerately, “Do you want to take off your jacket?”

The wig was already making Xu Yan hot. Worried about smudging his makeup, he nodded.

Wen Sinian dutifully reached out, not touching his shoulders, but instead gently pinched the fabric of his jacket to help him remove it, then hung it on the nearby rack.

The dress beneath was a thin-strapped gown. Two delicate green straps clung to his round, pale shoulders, begging to be tugged aside and reveal what lay beneath.

Every inch of him seemed to align perfectly with Wen Sinian’s preferences.

Wen Sinian’s gaze darkened. “Let’s go sit down.”

Some of Xu Yan’s tension eased. From Wen Sinian’s attitude, it seemed like he really hadn’t recognized him.

Xu Yan replied, “Okay,” and took the initiative to carry his bag and walk further in.

He hadn’t expected the room to have no sofa, just a low double futon bed.

Xu Yan instinctively sat at the farthest corner from the screen, practically pressed against the wall.

Wen Sinian followed and sat as well, keeping a respectful distance by sitting in the middle at the foot of the bed.

The dim light wrapped around them like a net, trapping them from head to toe.

One large and firm, the other slender and soft, the stillness between them brewed a dangerously seductive atmosphere.

It was only then that Xu Yan realized what kind of place he had chosen.

They didn’t look like they were here to break up.

They looked like they were here to… book a room.

But isn’t he SUPPOSED to be a GUY, so why’d he disguise himself as a ‘girl’ or is he just gonna pretend he crossdresses all the time…?
