Crossdress Ch27
by 707Before Xu Yan could answer, Lin Xingxian pushed the door open and walked in.
He first noticed Wen Sinian, who had suddenly appeared in the room, and asked in surprise, “When did you get back?”
Then he saw Xu Yan obediently wearing the dress and exclaimed, “Oh my god, Junior!”
Brushing past Wen Sinian, Lin Xingxian walked straight over to Xu Yan’s side, helping him take off the coat and circling him to take a good look. He had honestly never seen anyone more suitable to paint than Xu Yan.
The face, the body—everything was perfect.
He quickly pulled up a few pose references on his phone and showed them to Xu Yan. “Try standing like this for me.”
Xu Yan wasn’t shy and posed according to the pictures. He wasn’t too bothered by Lin Xingxian watching him, but he was a little uneasy about Wen Sinian still standing nearby and watching.
Lin Xingxian noticed and said to Wen Sinian, “President Wen, could I trouble you to step outside for a bit? I like to keep my artwork private until it’s finished—no visitors allowed.”
Thankfully, Wen Sinian didn’t protest, even though technically the entire villa was his.
He just glanced at the two of them and said plainly, “Do your best.”
Then he closed the door behind him and left.
Once Wen Sinian was gone, Xu Yan felt much more at ease. He worked with Lin Xingxian for a while to help him find inspiration, then changed out of the dress.
“Do you need anything else from me?” Xu Yan asked.
Lin Xingxian was sitting in front of the canvas deep in thought. He waved his hand. “Didn’t you say you had homework? You can head downstairs and work on it. If I need you again, I’ll call you.”
Xu Yan nodded and quietly left, carrying his backpack downstairs.
Everyone on the first floor was busy in front of their computers. Wen Sinian hadn’t gone back upstairs and was discussing something at a desk with another person.
Xu Yan didn’t want to disturb anyone. He found a spot on the couch, pulled out his laptop, and started working on his assignment.
Unfortunately, just as he was halfway through editing the video—and before he could even save—it happened: the old laptop screen went black and completely shut down.
Xu Yan looked completely devastated. The laptop had crashed before, but forcing it to shut down and restart usually worked. Today, however, it wasn’t responding at all, no matter how many times he pressed the power button.
He closed the laptop and buried his face in his hands, feeling miserable.
He couldn’t bring himself to replace it yet. But if he had to send it in for repair, that would be another expense—and most importantly, what about his homework? It was due in class tomorrow. He had planned to finish it today.
He was doomed.
Zheng Yao, who sat at a nearby workstation, walked over and plopped down beside him on the couch.
“What’s wrong, Junior?”
They were both computer science majors—maybe he could fix it?
Xu Yan said, “My laptop’s dead. It just won’t turn on.”
Zheng Yao replied, “Well, that’s kind of in my wheelhouse. Let me take a look. I’ve never formally studied computer repair, but I assembled most of the PCs in the studio.”
Xu Yan said in awe, “That’s amazing.”
Although he often edited videos and photos, he didn’t know a thing about computer hardware.
Zheng Yao examined it for a bit and asked in surprise, “How long have you had this laptop? It’s ancient. You’d be lucky to even find replacement parts on the market.”
Xu Yan: “Yeah, it’s really old. I’ve had it for many, many years. Can it still be fixed, Senior?”
After checking again, Zheng Yao admitted, “I don’t think I can fix this one.”
Xu Yan’s hopeful little face crumbled. “Ah… okay. Still, thank you.”
Just as he was about to pack it away, Zheng Yao suddenly stood up with the laptop in hand. “Let’s ask Wen-Ge. Maybe he’ll know what to do.”
He walked straight over to Wen Sinian with Xu Yan’s bulky laptop. Xu Yan hurried after him.
“Wen-Ge, can you take a look at this laptop?” Zheng Yao said. “It suddenly went black. I couldn’t figure out the issue. Think it’s still salvageable?”
The person next to them stepped aside, and Zheng Yao placed Xu Yan’s heavy laptop on the desk.
Wen Sinian leaned back in his chair lazily, tilting his head slightly to glance at Xu Yan, who was standing behind Zheng Yao.
So small, he looked like he was trying to disappear.
Without even looking at the laptop, Wen Sinian picked it up with one hand.
“It’s too old. Not worth fixing.” As he said this, he tilted the laptop toward the trash can with a casual flick of his fingers. “Just throw it out.”
Before the words even fully landed, a pair of small pale hands darted out, wrapping tightly around the laptop—and inadvertently, Wen Sinian’s hand too—hugging both tightly to his chest.
“No!” Xu Yan blurted out nervously, terrified that he really would throw away his precious laptop. “Don’t throw it away!”
Wen Sinian didn’t pull his hand back. It stayed there, warm and firm, between the thin layers of Xu Yan’s shirt and his chest.
Looking at the flustered little bunny in front of him, Wen Sinian seemed to understand and asked, “It’s yours?”
Xu Yan nodded frantically, his expression both pleading and pitiful. “Yes, it’s mine. Please don’t throw it away. I can still use it if it’s fixed.”
Wen Sinian, thankfully, didn’t insist. Instead, he pulled the laptop out of Xu Yan’s arms.
“In a rush to use it?”
Xu Yan thought for a second and nodded. “Kind of, yeah.”
Wen Sinian fiddled with the laptop for a bit and got the screen to light up—though it showed a blue screen. Then he grabbed a hard drive and quickly copied all of Xu Yan’s files. It only took a few minutes.
Xu Yan stood by quietly the whole time. Suddenly, Wen Sinian got up and started walking upstairs, hard drive in hand.
Before he left the room, he turned back and said to the dazed Xu Yan, “Follow me.”
Xu Yan obediently trailed behind him to the second floor. He followed Wen Sinian into an office and hesitantly stepped inside.
To his surprise, the office was quite spacious, decorated in black and gray tones. The most striking thing was the huge desk with four monitors, taking up half the surface.
Wen Sinian walked over to the desk. Seeing Xu Yan still standing frozen, he said, “Come here.”
The room was dead silent with just the two of them inside. Xu Yan could feel an invisible pressure radiating from the man in front of him.
He slowly approached. Wen Sinian pulled a thin laptop out from a drawer and powered it on.
“Password’s 0914,” he said, handing him the hard drive. “Use this one for your homework.”
Xu Yan nodded obediently. “Thank you.”
Wen Sinian pulled out the black office chair. “Sit here.”
Xu Yan sat down, and a hand from behind pushed the chair forward a little, adjusting his position. Then Wen Sinian left the office.
Back downstairs, the bulky old laptop was still sitting untouched on the table. No one dared move it.
Wen Sinian walked over, picked it up, and tossed it lightly to Zheng Yao.
Zheng Yao was stunned. “?”
Didn’t he just say he couldn’t fix it?
Wen Sinian: “Wipe the drive and reinstall everything with the new setup. Use the new configuration we bought. Keep the outer shell.”
Zheng Yao was even more confused: “??”
They hadn’t even dared to use the new setup themselves, and now he wanted to give it to the junior?
Wen Sinian added, “Don’t tell him.”
Zheng Yao wasn’t confused anymore: “.”
Suddenly, everything made sense.
Just earlier he was bullying the kid, even threatening to toss his laptop right in front of him. And now he was secretly giving him a brand-new setup worth over twenty thousand yuan, while making sure he didn’t find out.
A real-life unsung hero.
Downstairs, Zheng Yao diligently worked on replacing Xu Yan’s computer configuration, while upstairs, Xu Yan was sitting at the desk, seriously working on his assignment.
It was just that Wen Sinian’s computer was too smooth and too high-end—completely lag-free, which Xu Yan actually found a little hard to get used to.
After editing the video for a bit, he must have accidentally hit something because suddenly the screen flashed and a bunch of code popped up.
Xu Yan couldn’t understand it and didn’t dare touch anything. He quickly searched online to see what it meant, but the explanations didn’t make much sense either.
With no choice, he carried the laptop out of the office and stood by the railing on the second floor, peeking down. Just in time, he saw Wen Sinian standing in front of the refrigerator in the kitchen, holding a glass of water and tilting his head slightly to drink.
Xu Yan knew that fridge well.
He only looked for a couple of seconds, but was quickly caught by a pair of eyes. That deep gaze pierced through the space above the living room, locking eyes with him directly.
Xu Yan instantly looked away guiltily, lowered his head, and hugged the laptop tightly as he came down the stairs—reluctant, avoiding, but still making his way over to Wen Sinian.
“Senior, something popped up on your computer. I don’t know what it is and I can’t close it.” Xu Yan placed the laptop on the counter beside the fridge, then turned to face him, pointing at the screen. “It’s… this.”
Wen Sinian leaned in to look at where he was pointing. As he stepped forward, his cold, woodsy scent suddenly enveloped Xu Yan completely.
He was nearly wrapped up in the man’s arms. Both of Wen Sinian’s arms rested lightly on the counter beside him. If he leaned in just a little closer, he would’ve caught the faint floral scent from Xu Yan’s hair.
Xu Yan froze, instinctively wanting to duck under his arm and escape, when he heard Wen Sinian say, “You accidentally hit a shortcut key. Click here.”
He followed the instructions and saw Wen Sinian navigate the trackpad, click a few places, and just like that, the blue screen disappeared, returning to his video editing program.
Before he could even react, the embrace-like position was already gone.
Wen Sinian opened the fridge again, took out a bottle of water, twisted the cap slightly—though not all the way—and handed it to him.
Xu Yan accepted it and said again, “Thank you.”
He didn’t go back upstairs. Instead, he grabbed a high stool and continued editing his video by the counter.
Wen Sinian stood nearby watching him for a moment, then finished the entire bottle of cold water in silence before turning and heading back upstairs.
Only… he forgot his phone.
It was left right there on the counter.
Not long after, Xu Yan finished editing his video. He uploaded it to the cloud, shut down the computer for him, and was about to bring it upstairs—but worried he might disturb him if he was working, so decided to wait a bit.
He glanced at his phone. Year had sent a few messages earlier that he hadn’t read yet.
First were some logistics screenshots—he’d apparently bought Xu Yan a new dress.
【year】:Baby, you’ve been eating well lately, haven’t you?
【year】:Looks like your thighs have gotten a bit meatier.
【year】:Do the stockings feel tight? Are they uncomfortable?
Xu Yan pinched his thigh quietly. How come he hadn’t noticed any extra meat?
Was it because Year kept feeding him and constantly watching him eat? Had he really gained weight?
【Yanyan】:You’re not allowed to keep forcing me to eat anymore.
【Yanyan】:I don’t want to get fat.
【Yanyan】:Also stop buying me tasty stuff.
After sending those messages, he looked up—and saw that Wen Sinian’s phone screen had just lit up from a new message. Unfortunately, the content was hidden, so he couldn’t tell what it said or who it was from.
Xu Yan’s heart skipped a beat. He realized that Wen Sinian’s previously broken phone had been repaired. He didn’t mean to snoop on anyone’s messages.
It was just… such a coincidence.
He lowered his head and sent another message.
【Yanyan】:[Cat waving its paw angrily emoji]
Looking up again, Wen Sinian’s phone lit up.
His eyes widened in surprise.
Wow. What a coincidence.
He sent another message. The screen lit up again.
Sent another. Lit up again.
Xu Yan: “O.O”
HES GONNA KNOW!!!
Que tonto bb
Lol it’s careless on his side or deliberately???
No but sometimes it really is a coincidence cuz of similar typing speeds/ message lengths
