FSGOR Ch28part2
by 707Not far off, Jiang Jing returned from the elevator, heels clicking on the ground, her expression unsteady.
She got into the driver’s seat, wiped away tears at the corner of her eyes while clenching her teeth, then started the car and drove away—like she had just endured a very unpleasant conversation.
Chu Xuyu saw everything.
He squinted slightly, fingers absently tracing the edge of his phone, but Jiang Tian was nowhere in sight.
Two seconds later—
The tall, clean-cut teenager emerged from the same direction. His expression was colder than before, clearly someone who deliberately waited until his sister left before showing himself—like a well-behaved little pet.
Jiang Tian was clearly upset too, but he didn’t let it show. He approached Chu Xuyu’s black luxury car, lowered his gaze, and exuded an air of silent obedience, as if awaiting instructions.
Chu Xuyu suspected he was just pretending to be pitiful—though he had no proof—so he simply pressed the unlock button. The car beeped softly.
Jiang Tian didn’t hesitate. As if guessing Chu Xuyu’s thoughts, he walked around to the passenger side. After a brief moment of hesitation, he decisively opened the door.
A scene from an hour ago played out again.
The two remained silent. Sitting in the driver’s seat, Chu Xuyu met his eyes—Jiang Tian stood quietly by the door, his eyes clear and calm despite their aloofness, a look that perfectly fit Chu Xuyu’s tastes.
“…”
The CEO gave up. He simply said, “Get in.”
Jiang Tian paused slightly but obediently got into the passenger seat and closed the door.
He sat upright, posture perfect, exuding the aura of adolescence—but with a calmness beyond his years.
In the enclosed space, it felt like two conflicting energies were colliding: fire and ice. The tension made Chu Xuyu’s body unconsciously react, just a bit.
He rested one hand on the steering wheel, fingers tapping lightly. To Jiang Tian, it felt like the man was silently waiting for a response.
But Jiang Tian said nothing.
Chu Xuyu soon lost patience and asked, “Why didn’t you come find me at the bar?”
The familiar voice was low and sexy, deeper and richer than it had ever sounded over the phone.
Jiang Tian rested his hands on his knees, took a deep breath, and replied calmly: “It’s not nine yet. We agreed on nine.”
“Smart,” Chu Xuyu said, his tone playful.
“That part’s just like your sister.”
Jiang Tian: “…”
So, he knew everything.
He’d been through a lot that night—meeting the scumbag with his sister had left him emotionally exhausted. But seeing Chu Xuyu again still made his heart race like a roller coaster.
And yet, strangely, the CEO only made that one comment, then began typing on his phone like he was replying to messages.
A moment later, an electric scooter rolled up. The rider was in an ORANGE Bar uniform—delivering beer.
Jiang Tian had no idea what Chu Xuyu was planning. He just watched silently as Chu Xuyu rolled down the window, took the beer, and casually drank a couple of sips—radiating a mature, relaxed masculinity.
Jiang Tian said nothing. When their eyes briefly met, he quickly looked forward again.
Chu Xuyu: “Want a drink?”
“…”
Jiang Tian shook his head.
“I don’t like alcohol.”
Chu Xuyu: “Is that so.”
The way he said it was exactly like how he used to talk online. Jiang Tian thought so but didn’t say it out loud.
Chu Xuyu lazily held the glass bottle, glancing at the boy beside him. He spoke little, came off moody, and made Chu Xuyu wonder how the same kid could type such flirty, provocative messages online.
No matter how he looked at it, Jiang Tian must’ve had some mission he couldn’t defy to push things that far.
Chu Xuyu found it amusing.
But Jiang Tian’s face briefly flashed with embarrassment—perhaps because of what had just happened—only making Chu more curious.
“Who did you just see?”
“…”
“Speak.”
His tone turned a bit harsh, but Jiang Tian didn’t dare look at him. He pressed his lips together and answered softly:
“My sister’s ex-boyfriend.”
Chu Xuyu raised an eyebrow but didn’t press further. He took another slow sip from his glass, seeming relaxed—but there was an unspoken pressure in the air.
The dim lighting cast sharp shadows on his angular face, a strange look in his eyes.
Jiang Tian could feel it. He wasn’t blind—he knew he’d basically walked into the wolf’s den.
There was no doubt this man had secretly investigated him. Every detail was probably already exposed.
If Chu Xuyu wanted to punish him, there would be no escape.
The air in the car was tight, like a bowstring on the verge of snapping. Ambiguity and danger wrapped around them.
Chu Xuyu, never one for idle chatter, prompted again: “Speak.”
Jiang Tian: “…”
He didn’t know what to say. Was he supposed to confess and admit everything?
Just how thick-skinned would someone have to be to do that?
He’d rather let Chu Xuyu deal with him however he liked. But actively spilling the ridiculous, flirty tactics he used online?
That… he couldn’t do.
But right at that moment—
The man suddenly reached out and grabbed his face without warning, his fingertips warm as they brushed lightly against his jaw.
Jiang Tian froze in place, stunned and unable to believe it—he didn’t even dare to move.
Then, the CEO curved his lips into a half-smile, his tone teasing and playful:
“Forgot what we were supposed to do when we met?”
Jiang Tian: “…………”
Like a sudden crashing wave, the atmosphere in the enclosed space instantly ignited.
The boy’s face flushed uncontrollably. He even forgot to turn his head away. His hands clutched his knees, the fabric of his jeans wrinkled tightly beneath his fingers—and he just couldn’t get a single word out.
“Do I have to answer for you?”
Chu Xuyu leaned closer. His breath, scorching hot, fell on Jiang Tian’s already feverish and handsome face:
“You said you wanted to hook up with me.”
Jiang Tian panicked and recoiled: “!!!”
Thud.
The boy’s back slammed against the car door. His breath caught completely, and he wished he could deny everything on the spot.
“I…”
But his words got stuck, his thick lashes fluttered in panic, and he couldn’t even meet Chu Xuyu’s gaze with any confidence.
Chu Xuyu chuckled softly:
“Can you drive?”
Jiang Tian thought he was being metaphorical or suggestive and felt his face burn even hotter. He was just about to say that he couldn’t drive when—
Chu Xuyu continued in that same playful, ambiguous tone:
“I know you passed your driver’s test.”
“Sweetheart.”
“Wanna come over to my place?”
“……”
Jiang Tian, completely thrown off by the CEO’s invitation, felt his throat tighten as he thought:
Why on earth would my sister’s ex-boss invite me to his house?!
