FSGOR Ch106 – Extra Anchor
by 707Chu Xuyu had always disliked attending banquets , unless it was for business. This time, he showed up purely as a favor.
More specifically…
He was doing it as a favor to a friend’s dog.
Fu Boxi, who spent most of his time abroad, would bring his Blue Bay Shepherd, Eason, whenever he returned to China. Despite the long journey, the dog never tired and insisted on seeing its godfather , the very Mr. Chu.
Chu Xuyu, buried in company affairs as always, never showed any obvious affection for Eason… but actions spoke louder than words. Since it wasn’t the day he’d arranged to meet the cute little streamer, he decided he might as well come see his beloved goddog.
The banquet was in full swing , dazzling lights, clinking glasses, socialites and heirs chatting away in tailored luxury.
Not long after, a young heiress made her move on Chu Xuyu. Word had it the Chu family patriarch himself had arranged this as a potential match. Yet when the young lady saw Chu Xuyu talking more seriously with his secretary than with her, she immediately lost interest.
She heard the secretary , Miss Jiang , had to return to the company on urgent business.
Assuming this was her cue, the heiress waited for Chu Xuyu to finally look her way…
Instead, the man coldly excused himself and…
went to find the dog.
He was soon seen laughing and chatting , not with her, but with Fu’s shepherd.
“……”
Was this man gay or something?!
Even if she was a top-tier heiress , blessed with beauty, brains, and a strong career , she wouldn’t fight over a man. But now? She had to find out the truth.
There was definitely something fishy going on.
She squinted toward Chu Xuyu. He wasn’t letting go of his phone , his eyes locked to the screen like he was texting a secret lover. The faint smile on his lips made her even more suspicious.
Peeking over…
She saw the recipient’s chat style , bubbly, youthful, totally like a young guy. The profile pic stood out too, and a voice popped into her mind like a meme:
“Usa-chi, incoming,!”
Wait, focus!
The point was:
Was Chu Xuyu secretly dating a boy?!
She hadn’t driven herself. While waiting for her bodyguard in the lobby, she spotted a teenage boy in a puffy winter coat sitting quietly.
Clean-cut. Handsome. Soft aura.
Way too good-looking to be just a random passerby.
Honestly… he even kinda matched Chu Xuyu’s vibe.
The heiress couldn’t help but glance over again, curious to see what chemistry they might have.
“Miss.”
Her bodyguard, who’d been watching silently, now said in a low voice , his eyes hidden behind dark sunglasses, fixed on Fu’s dog.
“Want me to handle it?”
,
At the same time…
The teen she noticed , Jiang Tian , was sitting in the lobby, holding a car key. He’d just received a message from his sister saying she had to return to the company, leaving him a little lost.
KIRA: Okay, I’ll head home in a bit then. You handle work first, jiejie.
After sending it, Jiang Tian felt like a balloon with a hole poked in it.
Slouched on the sofa, he absentmindedly tapped his phone, wondering what to do next.
He didn’t have to pick up his sister anymore.
So… what now?
All he really needed to do was give Chu Xuyu the gift, explain that he didn’t want any more money, and go home.
That would be ideal.
He switched chat windows , a message from “Top Gifter” had arrived.
Afternoon Tea: You’re here?
Afternoon Tea: Why aren’t you coming up?
Jiang Tian rubbed his nose awkwardly.
He felt it wasn’t appropriate to go up , this was a formal event, after all. He’d been trying to avoid running into his sister. Waiting in the lobby to hand over the gift would be enough.
KIRA: It’s not the right time for me to come up. Let’s meet after it ends.
Afternoon Tea: Come upstairs.
Afternoon Tea: I sent someone to pick you up.
KIRA: That’s not necessary.
KIRA: I’ll just wait down here.
Afternoon Tea: ?
Afternoon Tea: I’ll come down and get you.
KIRA: No, really.
KIRA: Just come find me when it’s over.
Afternoon Tea: I need to come downstairs anyway.
‘……Is he really going to leave the banquet just to come get me?’
He couldn’t be serious, right?
If people ever found out the truth , that the big-shot CEO had this kind of relationship with a game streamer, and that his secretary was the streamer’s sister…
Everything would become a complete mess.
Even just thinking about it made Jiang Tian’s skin crawl. He stood up, hoping to walk outside and cool off.
Ding,
The elevator nearby opened, and a black blur shot out like a bullet , sniffing the air before sprinting straight toward him!
“?”
Before Jiang Tian could react, his knees were rammed. He staggered, nearly falling over.
Voices stirred in the lobby.
Something weird was happening.
He turned, blinking , and his eyes lit up slightly.
It was a rare, incredibly handsome… giant dog.
The shepherd clearly liked him.
Like a cat on catnip, it nuzzled against his knees with gusto. A bit startling , but very, very cute.
“Hi,”
Jiang Tian had just greeted it when,
CHOMP.
The dog’s giant jaws latched onto his gift bag.
Jiang Tian: “???”
Everyone around them froze.
The shepherd grinned dumbly, panting happily as it chewed the gift bag. Jiang Tian tried to stop it, voice filled with gentle panic:
“Don’t bite that.”
“That’s not something you’re supposed to chew…”
He clearly loved dogs.
He didn’t get mad, not even a little.
But that didn’t mean he wasn’t heartbroken.
His carefully prepared gift was now a shredded mess.
Soon, he looked like a balloon losing air , slumped, defeated.
He stared at the bank card, now full of bite marks.
“…Just don’t eat it, okay…”
Jiang Tian held back a breakdown and tried to pry the bag from the dog’s mouth. Inside were some sleep masks, snacks, and little things he’d picked out while passing a nearby mall.
He’d thought it’d be nice to surprise the guy he’d been talking to online for six months.
Now?
All destroyed.
“……”
Jiang Tian hugged the fluffy dog’s head and sighed.
His handsome face was deadpan , on the verge of tears.
Just then…
From the opposite elevator, two men in suits appeared. The first rushed forward, yelling:
“Eason! What the hell , you little monster!”
The man behind him walked slowly, refined and low-profile.
But the moment his deep gaze landed on Jiang Tian…
Something changed.
He looked even better in person than in photos or video.
Chu Xuyu stepped closer, staring down at the teen’s bowed head.
At the same time…
Jiang Tian, still trying to stay calm, heard someone apologizing:
“Sorry, sorry , I’ll pay for everything. This dumb dog somehow figured out how to sneak into the elevator!”
Jiang Tian took a deep breath and shook his head.
“It’s okay… the dog didn’t mean it,”
Wait.
A burning gaze swept over him.
Jiang Tian looked up , met a pair of deep, familiar eyes , and felt his heart skip a beat.
He swallowed.
They stared at each other in silence , the man in the suit, the boy in the down jacket , clearly recognizing one another.
Chu Xuyu’s lips lifted in a faint smile.
“What happened?”
Jiang Tian blinked slowly, his mind foggy.
He looked up and murmured, pure as ever:
“The gift… got chewed.”
Chu Xuyu glanced down, his brow twitching slightly , a touch of pain in his voice:
“A gift for me?”
Jiang Tian: “……Mm.”
The people nearby were stunned , whispering about how these two, from totally different worlds, could even know each other.
But none of it could pierce the atmosphere between them.
Jiang Tian could feel the subtle shift too.
He straightened up… only for Chu Xuyu to lean in slightly, his low voice brushing past his ear:
“Poor little pup.”
Jiang Tian froze.
‘What little pup?’
There was only one bad dog here, and its name was Eason.
“……”
He must’ve imagined that line.
Right?
no new chapter?? 😭😭😭😞😞 i love this story
