by cinnaroll005Chu Ya was leaning on the back of his chair and thinking wildly, when he suddenly heard an earth-shattering roar, as if there had been an explosion somewhere, and as if a building had collapsed.
In the screeching sound of brakes sounding before and after, the driver also slammed on the brakes, Chu Ya rushed forward, and was buckled back to his seat by the seat belt.
“Young Master Chu, are you okay?” After stopping the car, the driver turned around and asked as soon as possible.
Chu Ya held on to the car door and shook his head: “I’m fine.”
The moving cars all stopped, Chu Ya pressed the window, and heard panicked shouts from the street below, and the pedestrians were running around.
He saw heads poking out of the windows of those cars, as dazed as he was. People in the buildings on both sides of the road were also asking each other, apparently not knowing what was going on.
Soon there was a rumbling helicopter in the sky, accompanied by a loudspeaker shout: “White Fort has a felon escaped, armed with a hand-held mortar, with super high combat effectiveness and serious violent tendencies.” He’s on this street at the moment, everyone is asked not to leave their rooms, and the people outside, please look for a hiding place nearby……”
The distance between the buildings is narrow, and the helicopter cannot descend, but can only hover in the air. But before the sound of the megaphone had passed, fierce gunfire rang out ahead.
The gunfire quickly approached, a bullet whizzing past the roof of Chu Ya’s car, and several stray bullets hit the road not far away, flying rubble.
The driver immediately became nervous, and went to see Chu Ya with a pale face.
Although Chu Ya was only twelve years old, he was sent to the military academy for training since he was a child, so he was much calmer than an adult at this time.
The other people in the car panicked, got out of the car one after another, and ran back along the three-story road, trying to find a gap to get out of the road. But Chu Ya saw that the back of the road had been blocked by a steel gate, and knew that if he got out of the car rashly, not only could he not leave, but he was also easily injured by stray bullets.
“Get in the car, don’t get down.” Chu Ya instructed the driver.
As soon as he finished speaking, he saw a figure appear in front of him, leaping and galloping on the roof of the car at great speed, leaving behind those who were running in panic on the ground. And that man was also a point of firepower, and many craters quickly added to the area he passed.
“Ahh!” Someone cried out in pain and covered his arm, apparently injured by a stray bullet.
The loudspeaker voice in the helicopter shouted: “Get down! Don’t run! Get down!”
The person on the roof of the car quickly approached, and Chu Ya saw clearly that it was a middle-aged man in his thirties. He was thin, pale, and bleeding from a wound on his shoulder, staining his gray shirt that resembled a hospital gown.
The man also clearly noticed that the road ahead was blocked, and suddenly jumped off the roof of the car, rushed forward a few steps, and hid behind a metal lamppost on the side of the road.
The metal lamp was next to Chu Ya’s car, less than two meters away from them. The driver was suddenly frightened and didn’t dare to move, Chu Ya also held his breath, slowly reached out and grabbed the leather bag on the seat, and took out a self-defense dagger from it.
The man was panting with his back against a telephone pole, and on the uninjured side he was carrying a portable mortar on his shoulder. Chu Ya stared at him and found that on the high wall of the building above his head, several special forces were holding on to the rope and sliding down.
The movements of those special forces were swift, and they soon slid to the height of the fifth floor. The man didn’t seem to look up, but a dark shadow beside him suddenly moved, and jumped up the wall, moving towards the position of the special forces.
Chu Ya found the black shadow at the beginning, and always thought that it was a reflection, but it didn’t attract his attention. Only now did he realize that the black shadow was three-dimensional, and it was like a nimble monkey climbing up the wall.
“Uncle, did you see it?” He immediately asked the driver in a whisper.
The driver was so nervous that he stammered: “I saw it.”
“You saw that dark shadow too?”
“What, what?”
Chu Ya was stunned for only a second, and then realized that he was seeing a quantum beast!
When the sentinel or guide is in the differentiation period, due to the fluctuation of mental power, he can occasionally see other people’s quantum beasts. It’s just that he can’t see the full form of the quantum beast clearly, and the process is very short.
He was secretly surprised that this man was actually a sentry or a guide, and that he was also a felon, who was imprisoned in the White Castle.
Gunshots and screams rang out on the walls of the building, the monkey’s black shadow fluttered left and right, and several special forces covered their eyes and were quickly pulled up to the roof by the rope around their waists.
The road ahead was blocked, and the soldiers in the rear were approaching, and the bullets struck the lamppost against the man’s back, splashing sparks from time to time.
Chu Ya was still sitting in the car when he saw the man suddenly rush to the side of the road and climb onto the isolated metal mesh on the side of the road. The monkey’s shadow shielded him from the bullets, and a faint black smoke rose above his head.
He punched the glass as solid as a wall and shouted to the panicked people inside, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t kill, I’m just going to run for my life, open the window, let me in.”
No one in the building came to open the window, and they were so frightened that they fled out the door, and the man had to grit his teeth: “Then you guys go out quickly, I’m going to open fire.” Then he slid down the fence, took a few steps back, and raised his mortar forward.
But before he could press the launch button, his body suddenly shook, his two hands hung down softly, and the mortar fell to the ground, rolling all the way to Chu Ya’s car.
Chu Ya saw the black shadow of the monkey blocking in front of the man, and raised his claws like a great enemy. A rope-like black shadow flew past the car window and quickly wrapped around the monkey’s body, like a snake entangled in its prey.
There’s another quantum beast!
The black shadow of the monkey and the black shadow of the snake wrestled and rolled on the ground, but the man seemed to have suffered some invisible attack, covered his chest and slowly knelt on the ground, spurting out a mouthful of blood. The monkey also turned into a cloud of smoke and dissipated into the air.
Several soldiers quickly rushed over and held down the man, holding his gun to his head.
“Don’t move! If you move again, we’ll shoot!”
The man didn’t struggle, his side face squeezed on the cold ground, and his eyes happened to meet Chu Ya who was sitting in the car. Chu Ya saw a line of tears flowing from those gray eyes, and his eyes were full of despair.
“Take him back.”
Hearing this familiar voice, Chu Ya turned his head and saw Gu Lin, who had separated from him outside Tuta half an hour ago, coming over.
Gu Lin didn’t see Chu Ya, he only walked to the man’s side with a gloomy expression, and suddenly kicked him over. The kick hit the man’s heart, and he let out a muffled grunt of pain and coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Gu Lin turned his head and spoke to a tall and thin officer beside him, and the voice came into Chu Ya’s ears intermittently.
“…… You didn’t catch him before and was able to hide outside for a week, and it turned out that he had broken through…… If he breaks through, it’s useless…… Take him back to the White Castle first. ”
Gu Lin turned to leave, and the soldiers set up the man to follow. Chu Ya looked at their backs and didn’t make a sound, and the driver thought that he didn’t recognize anyone, so he reminded him next to him: “Master Chu, that’s Colonel Gu, won’t you say hello?”
Chu Ya was silent for a few seconds: “No, we had just parted ways earlier. Let’s go home now.”
