Read And Be Lazy

    Chapter 11

Qin Qin felt as if she had suffered a heavy blow, and she leaned down in pain and buried her face in her palm.

“Mom, maybe it’s because of something else, don’t think about scary things.” Chu Ya squatted in front of her and said softly: “Maybe he is about to run for prime minister, Sunburn will feel that Dad’s threat is too great, so they just trap him temporarily and will release him after the election is over.”

Qin Qin raised her head, her face was pale, and her eyes were red. She reached out and touched Chu Ya’s head: “Yun Tuo has been with your father for so many years, Gu Lin is my own nephew, and there are probably a few others. We must get out of here now, and if your dad falls into their hands, they will threaten him with us. If—” She closed her eyes and said in a dumb voice, “then we have no value and will be disposed of.”

She quickly stood up and walked to the dark cabinet: “They are guarding outside, and we can only go out through the window.” On the right wall, there is a sewer pipe that goes straight to the bottom of the building, allowing you to slide down the pipe.

Chu Ya walked to the window and looked down.

His house is on the twentieth floor, except for a group of guards living on the ground floor, there are no residents on the other floors, and it is the material warehouse of the Morning Star Society. All he could see was a few layers of smooth walls that the light could reach, and everything else was hidden in the thick darkness of the night.

    “Take it.”

Chu Ya turned around and saw Qin Qin holding something in her hand. Gun.

“Do you dare to kill?” Qin Qin asked.

Chu Ya didn’t make a sound.

“If you don’t kill them, we’ll die.” Qin Qin picked up Chu Ya’s hand and put it on his hand. The gun rested in the palm of his hand.

Qin Qin touched Chu Ya’s slightly wet head and softened her voice: “Mom is here, you don’t have to kill anyone, but you have to take it with you to defend yourself.”

Chu Ya lowered his eyes and looked at his hands. A gun, pin it to the back of your waist.

There was a sudden knock on the door, and Wang Lin asked outside the door, “Madam, do you need to send us some supper?” With that, he began to twist the doorknob.

Chu Ya tensed instantly, Qin Qin immediately grabbed the teacup on the low cabinet next to her and threw it over. She then shouted angrily: “Get out!”

The teacup shattered, and the doorknob stopped.

“Let’s not bother the madame and her son.” Wang Lin didn’t come in again after hearing the voice, and only told the soldiers guarding the door a few words before leaving.

The only way to get down from the 20-story façade to the bottom floor is a sewer pipe in this building. But the pipe was on the right wall of the building, and they could only step on the waistline on the wall, which was less than half a foot wide.

The waistline was not wide in the first place, but now it is wet and slippery because of the rain. A person could instantly fall as long as they are not careful.

Qin Qin pulled off the drawstring above the curtain and tied one end around Chu Ya’s waist: “I’ll pull this one, you go over first, and then untie it after holding onto the pipe. And then I’ll come over.”

“Then what if you slip when you come alone?”

“I can tie the other end to the furniture in the house.”

“We can’t afford to delay any longer.” Chu Ya took the other end of the rope and whispered while tying it around Qin Qin’s waist: “I am a sentry in the differentiation period, and I have a single-wheel physical fitness, even if he is a B+ guide, you can’t catch up with me. Let’s go out together, I can hold you back.

Qin Qin looked down at Chu Ya, who only leaned over and seriously knotted the rope: “Dad is not here, it’s time for me to protect you.”

Qin Qin’s eyes suddenly turned red, and she hurriedly turned his head and responded, “Okay.”

Chu Ya climbed out of the windowsill and stood on the waistline, Qin Qin stood beside him with an automatic rifle on his back.

The rain was pouring down, the wind on the twentieth floor was fierce and strong, and the two of them clung to the wall like geckos, moving sideways toward the pipe.

Chu Ya’s eyes were hit by the raindrops, and half of his soles were suspended in the air. He could only keep his body fit as close as possible to the wall, and his hands were tightly cut into the gaps between the bricks.

He felt his calf being held against two small paws, and knew that it was his mother who released the quantum beast, so he lowered his voice and said, “Mom, you let the raccoon help you, I don’t need it.”

Qin Qin also knew that there was a rope between the two, so she didn’t insist, letting the raccoon turn to push herself.

Chu Ya slowly moved around the corner of the floor, and when he was almost within reach of the water pipe, he lunged forward and hugged the sewer pipe. Then his feet firmly wrapped around the pipe, and he dragged the rope and dragged Qin Qin over.

The mother and son slid down with the sewer pipe, and when Chu Ya slid too fast, he would feel the raccoon supporting his feet and remind him not to go too fast.

When he was about three stories above the ground, Qin Qin suddenly pulled the rope and motioned for Chu Ya to stop.

They were on the right side of the building, and although there was no one at their feet, there were many flashlight beams shaking in the direction of the main entrance, and some soldiers in black raincoats could be seen.

Chu Ya waited for a few seconds, and a soldier came from around the corner, swept around the rear with a flashlight, found nothing unusual, and turned to leave.

Qin Qin made a gesture, and the two of them quickly slid to the ground.

Chu Ya landed on his feet and quickly stretched out his hand to pick up Qin Qin. Behind this building is a large planting building, and as long as you walk through this area, you can go to find the people of the Morning Star Society. Tonight’s incident happened suddenly, and the high-ranking members of the Morning Star Army were under siege, but because the communication was cut off, those middle and low-level soldiers did not know. However, as long as Qin Qin and Chu Ya appeared, they would be able to lead them to fight back.

The mother and son walked lightly and followed the root of the wall to the planting building. But after only a few steps, two gunshots were heard overhead, and the voice of the walkie-talkie in the direction of the gate was unusually clear: “Catch them!” On the right side of the building!

“Run!” Qin Qin shouted an order, and Chu Ya followed his mother and ran towards the rear.

Chu Ya ran in the fields between the planting buildings, the thick corn leaves whipped on his body, and the glow of a shaking flashlight was on his side. The mother was not running fast, and soon she was overtaken by him, so he grabbed the rope around them, and led her forward quickly.

“They’re in front, chase after them.”

    “Ouch.”

The soldier who rushed to the front suddenly fell straight down, as if his hands and feet were bound by something.

“That woman is a guide, using mental power to bind!”

    “Ahh.”

“Do we have sentinels? Get a sentry to shield us!

    “Yes, they are coming.”

Qin Qin didn’t run fast, but while she was shooting, she calculated the interval time of her mental power restraint, and always released it precisely when the distance between the two sides was shortened, tripping the person who was chasing at the front.

Her raccoons also attacked from behind, and four or five people soon fell.

“We have to hurry, Wang Lin will catch up.” As Qin Qin ran, she raised her hand backwards and shot, “Untie the rope, you run ahead first.”

    “No!”

Chu Ya only popped out a simple word.

The cornleaves on both sides made his cheeks ache hotly, and the rain dripped down his forehead with sweat. He tugged at the rope and ran forward, trying to keep his eyes open to see what lay ahead in the darkness.

He felt the taut rope suddenly relax, and Qin Qin pounced on his back and then let out a muffled snort.

“Mom!” Chu Ya hurriedly turned around and helped her.

Qin Qin’s face turned pale and her mouth urged: “I’m fine, go quickly! Wang Lin has already arrived, using mental power to attack us.”

She pulled her arm out of Chu Ya’s hand and buckled it backwards.Trigger. A scream rang out, and the light of a flashlight dangling above the cornfield vanished from view.

Chu Ya also knew that he couldn’t delay now, so he tightened the rope and dragged his mother to continue running.

“How’s your raccoon?” Chu Ya asked breathlessly.

“It can’t beat Wang Lin’s pangolin, so I’ll take it back to the spiritual domain.”

“Can you still run?” Chu Ya waved his hand to pull away a corn stalk.

“Yes.” Qin Qin released her spiritual power to bind and entangle a soldier, “I blame myself for slacking off over the years, otherwise how could I let these people catch up.”

Chu Ya wiped the rain on his face: “I don’t blame you, blame Dad, every time you train, he is distressed there.”

Qin Qin’s body suddenly trembled and he staggered forward two steps.

    “Mom!”

Qin Qin covered her chest: “You run by yourself! Run any further and you will be able to leave the planting area.”

A bolt of lightning illuminated this planting area brightly, and also made Chu Ya see the blood flowing from Qin Qin’s mouth clearly.

Qin Qin trembled and untied the rope around her waist, and a few locks of hair stuck to her drenched pale cheeks: “Xiaoya, it’s better for you and your mother to run separately, so that they can disperse their people.”

Chu Ya glanced at the approaching soldiers of the Sunburn Army, and squatted in front of Qin Qin: “I’m carrying you on my back.”

    “Xiaoya—”

    “Mom, hurry up!”

The drenched clothes clinged to the young man’s back, and the shoulder blades were raised, making him even thinner and thinner, but the arched arc revealed stubbornness and persistence.

Qin Qin didn’t delay any longer, just lying on Chu Ya’s back, and Chu Ya stood up and ran forward.

After a few steps, the cornstalk next to him was broken by a bullet, and he was almost hit himself. He reached for the gun in the back of his hand, but hesitated for no further action.

It wasn’t until there were two more bullet holes at his feet that he gritted his teeth violently, turned suddenly, and pulled the trigger on a light approaching behind him.

    Bang!

The flashlight light disappeared from view.

    “Be careful!”

As soon as Qin Qin shouted, Chu Ya felt as if he had been punched hard in the chest by a sledgehammer, making his five organs seem to be displaced.

Qin Qin said: “Wang Lin is using spiritual power to attack you, but I can’t muster my spiritual power to resist him.”

Chu Ya only gritted his teeth to get through the heart-piercing pain, and forced himself to calm down: “I am a sentry in the differentiation period, he can’t hurt me, don’t worry, I can protect you.”

Qin Qin hugged his son’s shoulders tightly, and after a while, he choked up and said, “Yes, you have grown up.”

The torrential rain was like a note, and Chu Ya carried his mother through the dense corn stalks, and it was very difficult to move forward. But the corn stalks in front of them suddenly parted on both sides, revealing a narrow path.

With the light coming from behind, Chu Ya saw a small black shadow jumping on the ground. Although there was black smoke coming from its body, he could also make out its shape.

“Mom, did you release the quantum beast?” Chu Ya asked with a pant.

“Yes, it has no attack power now, but it can help you clear your way out.” Qin Qin’s voice was a little small.

Chu Ya ran hard, his neck stretched forward, highlighting a few green tendons: “I can finally, finally see it.”

Qin Qin replied after a long time this time: “…… It told me that you could see it, and it was happy.

Qin Qin didn’t make a sound again, as if she had fallen into a coma, Chu Ya only talked to her by himself: “Mom, do you want to know, do you want to know what form the quantum beast I trace every day?” I, I’m telling you, it’s a wolf, a silver-white wolf. It is very, very beautiful. You will definitely like it when you see it. Your raccoon will like it too. Dad’s blue tiger, for sure, you will definitely like it too……”

Chu Ya was attacked by mental power again.

This attack made him almost fall, and it took all his strength to support his body, only hugging Qin Qin’s knees, and staggering forward.

He no longer hesitated to shoot, and frequently turned around and pulled the trigger. But his vision became blurry, his feet were high and low, and his voice was indistinct: “The raccoon is gone…… Mom, we’re going out…… I can see the lights……”

He finally walked half-way out of the plantation area, with a three-story road in front of him, and the street lights were soft and bright.

Just pass through the lowest intersection to reach the stronghold of the Morning Star Army.

But on the left side of the intersection stood a man, dressed in a black raincoat, like a sculpture, and like a ghost waiting in the night.

Chu Ya didn’t care who the person was, only gasped and continued to move forward until he got closer and closer to the intersection, until the face under the brim of the hat gradually became clear.

Chu Ya stopped, stared at him in disbelief for a few seconds, and then rubbed his eyes to wipe the rain off his face.

After he was sure that he had not recognized the wrong person, the ecstasy of finally being saved made his tears well.

“Cousin!” He shouted in a hoarse voice.

Gu Lin didn’t respond, only walked towards him with a smile.

Chu Ya quickened his pace to meet him, and said to Qin Qin, who was lying motionless on his shoulder: “Mom, my cousin is here. We’re fine, we’re fine.”

He was already on the verge of losing his strength when he was approaching Gu Lin, and only stretched out his hand forward: “Cousin.”

He saw Gu Lin also stretch out his hand to him, but in the next second, there was a heavy shock in his brain, and then he lost all consciousness.
